Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("user", "you") and RetroRevive ("we", "us", "our"), an AI photo restoration service operated from Nadia, West Bengal, India. They apply each time you upload a photo, place an order, or otherwise interact with our service.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the service.

RetroRevive provides AI-generated photo enhancements — including restoration of damaged photographs, colourisation of black-and-white images, and clarity improvements. All output is produced by automated AI systems on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

Results may vary depending on the resolution, lighting, focus, and overall condition of the original photo you upload. Heavily damaged, very low resolution, or extremely blurry source images may not produce the result you expect. We do not guarantee a specific artistic outcome, exact colour accuracy of clothing or skin tones, or perfect reconstruction of missing facial features.

We continually improve our models and may change, add, or remove features at any time without prior notice.

You confirm that you own the rights to every photograph you upload, or that you have explicit permission from the rights holder to have the photograph processed by an AI service. This includes photographs of family members, professional studio portraits, and any image originally captured by a third party.

RetroRevive is not liable for any copyright, moral-rights, or privacy infringement caused by users uploading photographs they do not have the right to use. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim, loss, or legal cost arising from such uploads.

Once a restoration is delivered to you, the restored output is yours to use for personal, family, and non-commercial purposes. We retain the right to use fully-anonymised before/after pairs for our marketing material only when you have given explicit consent — we never use identifiable family photos without permission.

Each restoration consumes paid AI processing capacity the moment you place an order. Because of this per-image cost and the digital nature of the deliverable, our refund policy is intentionally narrow:

• Eligible for refund: a verifiable technical error on our side prevents the image from being generated or delivered (for example, the processing pipeline fails and no output file is produced).
• Not eligible for refund: dissatisfaction with the artistic result, colour choices, perceived likeness, sharpness limitations of the source photo, or a change of mind after delivery.
• Re-do instead of refund: if you are not happy with a result, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will attempt one free re-processing with adjusted parameters wherever feasible.

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method through Razorpay within 7–10 working days.

You may not upload any photograph or content that is:

• Illegal under Indian law or the laws of your jurisdiction.
• Pornographic, sexually explicit, or depicting nudity — including AI-generated or edited variations.
• Sexually exploitative of minors in any form. Such uploads will be reported to authorities.
• Hateful, harassing, or inciting violence against any individual or community on the basis of religion, caste, gender, sexuality, or origin.
• Depicting graphic violence, gore, or content designed to shock or harm viewers.
• Used to impersonate, defame, or deepfake another person without their consent.

Accounts that upload prohibited content will be banned immediately, all associated photos will be deleted, and no refund will be issued for any unused balance or pending orders.

You agree to provide accurate contact details (name, WhatsApp number, email) and to keep them up to date. We may suspend or terminate access to the service at our discretion if you breach these Terms, attempt to abuse the system, charge back a successful order without first contacting support, or use the service in a way that endangers our infrastructure or other users.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RetroRevive's total liability arising from or connected to your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or sentimental damages — including loss of an irreplaceable original photograph that you have not retained a backup of.

Always keep a copy of your original photograph before uploading. Our 30-day retention window is a convenience, not a backup service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute, claim, or disagreement arising out of or in connection with the service, these Terms, or their subject matter shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Nadia, West Bengal, India.

Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us in good faith and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter directly.
